Extended J.A.M.  –  In Downtown Brooklyn, Jazz Appreciation Month keeps on swinging. The Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium’s celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month endures through today and a touch beyond. Direct from Chicago’s Southside, Dee Alexander and Friends will be at For My Sweet (1103 Fulton Street, $10) to light up this jazziest of “Jazzy Mondays.” 

On Wednesday afternoon at Brooklyn Borough Hall (209 Joralemon Street), Long Life Information & Referral Network hosts “Jazz & the Spoken Word – In Tribute to Disabilities and the Arts.” Reception at 4pm, showtime at 6 for this FREE event.
